At the centre of the British Museum is the Queen Elizabeth II Great Court (or simply known as the Great Court). The cylindrical Reading Room lies in the middle, and a massive steel and glass provides a skylight for the courtyard it encloses.
I was trying to find a good vantage point from which to shoot this magnificent structure, and after walking around the court yard, I spotted an open window on the 3rd level of the galleries which might be a good spot.
Excitedly I went up to the 3rd floor and am glad to find that the window is accessible and unobstructed. I decided to go for a panoramic stitch as I wanted as much coverage both vertically and horizontally. The glass skylight has also created a slight green cast, which was corrected during post-processing.
